Birrieria Don Pedro Sucursal Zapotlanejo, a quaint restaurant located in the heart of Zapotlanejo, has captivated both locals and visitors alike with its rich heritage dating back to 1930. Guests consistently rave about the handmade tortillas and the overall authenticity of the birria, a traditional Mexican dish. One delighted customer, Armando Gonzalez, emphasized the excellence of their birria, while others have echoed sentiments about the delicious broth and the warm service.
However, not all experiences have been equally favorable. Some reviews pointed out inconsistencies such as the drying out of the meat and a sense of over-reliance on salsa. A notable critique mentions the necessity to specify birria de chivo when ordering, as the default can disappoint. Yet, despite these issues, the restaurant remains a popular spot due to its prime location next to the main square, making it a convenient choice for a meal.
All in all, Birrieria Don Pedro is a gem for anyone seeking authentic birria, especially if willing to explore the menu further or adjust seasoning to personal taste. With unlimited tortillas and a cozy atmosphere, it remains a worthy stop in Zapotlanejo.

Reviews for Birrieria Don Pedro Sucursal Zapotlanejo
Review highlights
Based on 292 reviewsBirrieria Don Pedro Sucursal Zapotlanejo is widely appreciated for its traditional birria, handmade tortillas, and authentic Mexican flavors, reflecting its long-standing presence since 1930. Customers frequently highlight the restaurant's central location and the friendly, attentive service provided by the staff. The rich broth and additional menu options like quesadillas, coffee, and beer also receive positive mentions. However, some guests note inconsistencies in meat quality and flavor balance, with occasional dryness in the birria and a preference for goat meat over beef not always clarified at ordering. The cozy, small space sometimes results in brief wait times, especially on busy weekends. Overall, the establishment maintains a reputation for delivering a culturally rich dining experience, though with some variability in execution.
Excellent Birria . Love to eat there hand made tortillas.
